Question about Slick runners on bunks for pontoons

I have been thinking about trying the slick runners attached to duel 2" X 4" carpeted bunks. I can see no reason why they would not work well for a pontoon tube to slide on but I thought it would be better to ask.

My pontoon boat is 21 foot "Fishin' Barge" made by Sun Tracker. The trailer has the wider bunks and each side forms a slight "V" shaped saddle for the tubes to be guided by.

Thanks in advance,

I can attest to the ( slick) runners. They are just that. When my carpet needed replaced i figured why spend the money for carpet and have to do it again in 5 or 6 years again. Removed the old carpet and put on the plastic runners.
