Question about trimming up...

Today I was out on the lake and I was doing around 25 mph. I was playing with my trim to see what I could do with the wake (trying to make it bigger). When I got to a 1/4 trim, or maybe a little over, I could not keep the boat from bouncing. Is that just too much trim? I have ran it like that before. I couldn't figure out why.

I'm not an expert, but the same thing happens to my boat if the water is choppy.

yes, that is a sign of too much trim. It is called porpoising. Trim just below the point of this and it will be perfect. My little fishing boat does that as well when there is too much trim.

Yeah the water was a bit choppy. It was glass when I first tried it. Ill trim down a little next time.

As far as wake goes, the less the better. Wake is caused by draging/pushing the boat through the water. If you are up on a good plane and trimmed out, your wake will be minimal and you will get max speed.
