Question about tube

I just got a nice tube to tow behind the boat and I had some questions about a possible air leak. The tube I have has a boston valve which makes it pretty easy to fill. My question is when I fill it up and put it on the ground and sit on it, it will lose some air around the valve but after it loses just a little bit it will stop and it wont leak any more. Is this some kind of feature that lets air out if you over inflate or is there something wrong with it?<br />Thanks

Re: Question about tube

Don't put it on the ground, put it on the water and tow it really fast!!! I've had quite a few tubes over the last couple of years and found that all of them will loose some air. It's no biggie, just carry one of those rechargable airthingies in the boat with you. In my boat we carry one that attaches right to the lighter on the boat. It is great, cause we inflate the tubes right before we use them. Where as before we use to stress about about getting them to the lake safely and what-not. Oh and by the way I have also purchased several inflators and found that the $10 MVP offered at Wally world is the best. Not the $20 - $30 ones that I have sitting in my garage, or is it the bottom of the lake (HMM).
