Question about zinc reading...

I am closing on a boat this week and the surveyor said that the zinc was reading 950 when it should be down around 600. He has suggested that he can fix the problem for me and if I ignore the high readings I will risk damaging the hull. Please tell me what you'd do. Thanks, Russell.
