QUESTION FOR 12 FOOTER

QUESTION IS THIS THE RIGHT OR WRONG WAY TO CHECK COMPRESSION?OUT BOARD ENGINE REMOVE THE PLUGS FROM ALL CYLINDERS ALSO REMOVE PLUG SPARK PLUG WIRES.CHECK EACH CYLINDER ONE BY ONE.WILL THIS WAY BLOW A STATOR? THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS OWN MY MIND.

Also be sure to hold the motor at WOT during the check to have the butterfies in the carbs fully open.<br /><br />Bob
