I've had a 79 Sea Ray SRV200 sitting around for a couple of years and am trying to get it fixed up to get it out on the water. It pretty much needs everything restored on it (floor/stringers, engine/outdrive, fuel tank). I remember that Haut Medoc had restored a 73 SRV220 and had done a pretty fine job on it. I was trying to find the thread, but guess it is no longer active. Anyway, I've torn out all of the floor and foam (lots of fun), the stringers were either very flimsy to begin with or totally disintegrated. Another thing that I noticed was the engine mounts were fiberglass over a 1X6 and a piece of plywood. I have not done much filberglass work in the past and was wondering if you had any pointers on how to re-install the transom. Mainly do you put fiberglass mat between the new transom plywood and the transom itself or just resin? Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JS
