Question for Lake Raystown guys

I am considering camping here http://www.heritagecoveresort.com and taking my boat this spring. It looks to be an ideal situation with the boat because they have a boat ramp and possibly docking right on-site. My concern is that it is located at the very southern skinny end of the lake. Would I have to navigate a ridiculously long channel to get to some decently open water? I'd appreciate some insight from anyone familiar with that end of the lake. I've only been to Raystown once before and took a canoe (bad idea). Here's a link to the campground's location on google maps http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=....239994&spn=0.035646,0.068836&z=14&iwloc=addr

I have never been to this campground. But from where it looks like on the map. You will have a long no wake. You would have about a 20 to 30 min no wake from there to the main lake. You are past the iron bridge . It is fairly shallow down there. We have been close to the bridge in our old boat. But I would never take the boat we have now that far down. Hope this helps.

I have never been to raystown lake and have reservations for that campground over memorial day weekend. I am also taking my boat and have heard good things about.... after reading your post i am going to call them and ask about the channel I didn't even think about that. This is the areas with no wake... If your going up memorial day by any chance let me know. I am from south of york, PA

Thanks for info LSM and adidas I'll look forward to hearing how your stay is. Apparently the campground is practically brand new and very nice. The pictures on their site show some average sized boats there but I don't have power trim on mine so LSM's info has me concerned.
