Ok , I have rebuilt mt share of two stroke carbs, and have a better then average comprehension of how a carb works. With that said, my question is on the carb bowl drain screw, it is hollow with two or more jet holes on it in the threads. And if they get plugged, like on the Nissan carb I just did, it will run terrible. So how does that drain screw work, and better yet what does it do?

Putting on my guru hat for a moment... the scrolls speak of carb jets as being pathways to two distinctly different levels of existence for fuel.

One path leads to enlightenment through high speed, the other results in being dumped into a stale gas drum.

Ooooooooommmmm.....

Next up, yoga and the art of propeller tuning.

Or, to put it another way. When you put it in the carb, it's the main jet. When you take it, out it's the drain plug.
