Walleyehed,
I noticed in one of your posts that you also have Boyesen reeds in your motor. I also have these in my 88 Force 125hp engine. I have had them in about 3 years. They run great.

I was just wondering how long you have run them or how often you say they should be changed? I was thinking about changing mine pretty soon. I have probably 300hours on them.

Thanks,
Bryan

As long as the motor doesn't "sneeze" at idle the Boyesens will last a very long time. 300 hours shouldn't be a problem unless it doesn't idle right.

Boyesen reeds offer a better flow of the fuel/air mix and run very smooth. They will allow a slower Idle in most cases and usually increase mid-range punch.
I have near 600hrs on my 200 with Boyesens from the start, and it Idles just fine at about 600-625RPM.

Not sure about hours but I have 14,000 miles/7 years on a set of them on my snowmobile and they still work great.
