Back in the days of the 90 hp derivative of the fat 50 V4 (I think Johnny called it a Meteor), Evinrude made a trihull I/O. You could buy it with several engines. As I recall one was a 155 hp Buick V6 4 stroke, and one had this 90 hp 4 cylinder 2 stroke powerhead.
Since that was the days when the OMC team carried the gas station with them and their 2 strokes, any comments on fuel consumption diffeerences between the two types of engines offered (2 vs 4 stroke) on that boat?
Been wondering about this ever since I saw them advertised and just now thought to ask about it.
