Question on 40 HP Yamaha

Model is 40LH, and code # is 6H4 L

Guy says it is a pull rope start 2 stroke. My question is what year is this motor ? And does it have an alternator and if so what capacity ?

Thanks for that link. I also found another source that helped me determine the year.

Then by viewing the online electronic parts catalog, I only found the 40LH in the 1987 year.
Manual start tiller handle, no alternator and probably no way of installing one.
