I have a '77 Evinrude 115, and would like to overhaul the cylinders of my tilt/trim.

I can easily do dis-assemble and re-assemble of parts on the cylinders.

Are there any "kits" of parts I can use for this purpose? Haven't run across any.

So far, looks like I'll have to go through the up/down cylinders and identify parts manually I'll need, get pricing, etc.

In doing this, is there any kind of things I should check for where damage might be?

Just curious.

Both cylinders use o-ring kit #712575 which is superseded by BRP #0174520. You will need two kits.

Any other parts in addition to this "kit" ? Or, is this a "good enough" precedure for cyl overhauls?

Depends. For instance, if the rods are pitted it's a whole different story. There is another kit for the trim gauge sender #172574.

Thanks.

That should do it. My cylinder rods are smooth and clean. I'll just stuff the kit in them.

Mine doesn't have indicator.
