I have a ward 7hp model#k7001107a and the type#602727OR, the motor runs great now, had the carb cleaned and took apart. I have a champion spark plug CJ8 in it now, it is what it came with. I went onto champions web site last night, and what I have been told it is a clinton motor. It says there should be a CJ14 spark plug in it.

It runs great now starts on the first or second pull, I do not know the difference between the two plugs. Should I change it or just run it with the CJ8, that it is in it now. Thanks for any info or suggestions.

CJ8 might be an obsolete plug and the CJ14 is the new replacement, like OMC's use J6J's but Champion has replaced them with J6C's.

I am hoping you are right, I think I will leave the cj8 in until it needs to be changed. The motor is running like new with the pile of black crude that was in the bowl of the carb and in the needles. Thanks agian for the reply.

I see you made it welcome. In checking my manuals again
that CJ8 could be the right plug.I think the J13Y is a long reach plug.
Though its been a long time since i checked a plug chart. The CJ8 isn't going to hurt anything.
