I recently acquired a 17' 1985 Crestliner ProV. The name is interesting because I can't find it in the NADA boat lists but my question is that I thought aluminum Crestliners from the 80's and newer had all welded hulls. Mine appears to be welded at the seams but there are rivets to the stringers. Does anyone else have a Crestliner with riveted stringers and has ever had them leak? I'm about to redo the floor and wondering if I should put Gluvit on these rivets? Thanks for any info!

IMO, gluvit is cheap insurance against removing the deck to access leaking rivets in the future.

I agree, it's worth it to put on. Pretty disappointed though when I found out there were riveted stringers, :grumpy:. I still like the boat though and shouldn't be a big deal.
