question???
I don't know much about electric....I have 2 batteries, a switch that turns ...1 2 all off...I have a panel with 120 v circuit in the cabin with a outlet, hot water heater, refigarater....this is not working ( the boat is in my yard )does this only work with shore line power? does that mean I can't use it until I am plug in? ...if I am on the water, I can't use the outlet for anything like a T.V.?
can someone explain ???
thanks
Laurie
:p

Re: question on electric..help

you got it..

the on-off-all switch is for 12volt stuff ..one battery for engine startin' & one battery for 12 v stuff.. can switch back & forth between the 2 when engine is runnin' to charge them both...but read instructins so as to not do it WRONG...

your rite the other is for shore power or if you have a noisy gas generator on board that produces 120 volts ac....

Re: question on electric..help

You may have an inverter in the boat that is powered of the second battery. (an inverter converts 12v dc to 120v ac)

Re: question on electric..help

that would be a hecka 12 volt battery & inverter to power a/c's & frigerators..

inverters are for small 120 vac things like a lite bulb/s ,, a tv set is about max...

bottom line ... if you can't plug in to it or generate it yourself,,, you ain't got it..
