Re: Question on Enertia Prop

they should be left in and if you want to have more slip out of the hole, you can buy replacement inserts from the merc dealer with different sized holes to allow for different amounts of exhaust gas to induce vcavitation at lower speeds... If you take them out it will probably cavitate way too much, I've found that for most of my toys the small or medium size inserts give good help out of the hole and don't create problems with too much cavitation...

Hope this is helpful..

Thanks, you are exactly correct.

I found the answer on the merc site and they do have different size inserts
for better hole shot etc..

Re: Question on Enertia Prop

Etransfer, I was following some of your earlier posts with the smart tabs. I ordered mine from iboats and am expecting them shortley.I have a Q6 also, but with the 5.0 220 hp. I wonder if the 20p enertia would work with my boat? Did the smart tabs interfere with getting up and down tha swim ladder? I saw your earlier pics of your install. Thanks :)
