Question on mounting LED TV in Doral 250SE

Hey Guys,

I purchased a 24" LED, I am planning to mount it to a wall bracket which I attachx to the wood mount which the mirror is stuck to (which is removable). I am just wondering how deep screws can go to secure the wall mount for the LED onto the wood panel. Does anyone know if the wood mirror mount is secured by more than the screw at each end under the caps? I was thinking to secure the mount to a small block of wood which would then be screwed to the wood panel before I mount the TV.

Looking for some feedback from those who may have mounted a TV in a 250SE and any tips you may have.

That wall thickness is about 4cm. Thick and strong enough to hold the TV. No need for anything else.
I mounted mine there too. It is a sandwitch of two boards.
Worst case senario would be the screws get in the chain locker.
I used 5cm (2 inches) screws 6mm thick.

The mirror is secured only by the two screws visible. It is one piece with the wood mount (glued). Mounted mine at the inside of the head door.

Thanks for your reply. I have a slim wall bracket that is tilt adjustable and will spend some time mounting it this weekend. I just have to find something to cover the wood that is exposed on each side of the TV edge, I guess some type of fabric or a match to the V Berth material would work well. My plan is to use my cell phone which gets mobile 720p TV and output it via the micro usb to hdmi adapter I have one way. I was hoping to find a TV that played MKV and divx natively via the USB but this set does not and I did not want to spend to much on the unit cause who knows how much it really will be used so I may work on a hdmi movie box with a hard drive.

I have a Doral 250sc 1997.
I've removed the mirror that was on a piano hinge and replace that with 1/2inch plywood. Then i've fix the tv on the plywood.

I'm still able to tilt the tv and access ancror rope.

get one of these and you a set to play anything you like on your TV............. they play everything.
They also have a very low power consuption.....
