Hola' mechanics...got a 1996 75 HP Force in the rebuild stage and am confused as to exactly where and what type of sealer to use during assembly. Working out of a Clymer manuel, they recommend applying the sealer"must CIRCLE all the main bearing holes. It must be applied to the inside edge of the crankcase cover outer screw holes"<br />Question; Do I apply as diagramed or just circle the holes?<br />Question; do I do both halves?<br />Question; recommendations on type of sealer to use?<br />Thanks in advance...

Yamabond is available at most yamaha motorcycle and marine dealers. It is exelent case sealer. I think what they are telling you is that the cases have to be sealed to the outside, as well as each other section. Don't seal up and orafices.

Use LOCKTITE 518 AND the primer that comes with it ,following the instructions in your manual to the letter.Clean all surfaces surgically, then the primer, let it kick, then the LOCKTITE. No phone calls , no dogs , no kids, no nothing while this is happening.
