During this off season I'm planning on replacing the manifold and risers since I'm unware of how long they have been on the boat. My question is... I know that people say stick with oem but I've had good luck with serria parts in the past and wondered if anyone has had any experience with this set.

Mod EDIT: Link removed. Please remember Iboats is an online retailer and sont post links to competitor sites

I have a 1998 rinker 232 with a mericruiser 7.4 mpi (motor # 0L061405) with a bravo 1 outdrive (0L159806) . The difference in price from this kit and OEM is only about $140 before shipping but that doesn't include all the gaskets and such on the Oem one.. the serria kit comes complete.

Don't know Sierra manifolds, would not use Sierra exhaust gaskets. Those must be OEM if you are expecting good service.

Ayuh,.... As with any manifolds/ risers,...

Check the Flatness of the gasket surfaces 'tween 'em,.....
'n use the carbon/ metallic kinda gaskets on dry, never the paper ones,...

A flat file is handy for checkin' flatness, as well as flattenin' those not quite right,....
