I'm going to replace my VRO pump with a normal pre-mix pump. The pump I am going to use is:

Part Number: 0388268 this number is listed under a 1975 115 motor on BRP.
Description: PUMP AY,FUEL
Pack Qty: 1
Dimensions: 3.50 x 2.25 x 2.25 (in)
Weight: 0.44 lbs
Equivalent Parts: 0395713,0398338,0432451,0433387,0438556

What I would like to know is am I correct on which ports are what on the following picture?

Re: Question on VRO conversion

Do you need to replace your pump?

the oil side of my pump failed a few years ago. The oil line is plugged and we disconnected the wire and now just simply premix the gas. Didn't need to change the pump, and this conversion basically cost nothing.

I did that last summer, and now the pump itself has failed. So instead of spending $400ish on the VRO pump I've gone with the $80 premixer.

you are incorrect. pulse is the back inlet. pulse &fuel out should be swapped.

Right, tough luck there. My pump is still working fine but I imagine I'll have to do the same as you at some point. Sorry I didn't have an answer for your question.

Re: Question on VRO conversion

This post interests me as I have a 1986 Johnson 110 with the VRO. now I can keep the engine running while squirting fuel into the top carb, but it stops immediately when I stop.

Does this mean I have lost the fuel side of the VRO pump?

I have checked three time the fuel tank has 1/2 a tank of fuel, LOL and the primer bulb will fill the fuel filter on the side of the engine.

Is there a test for the fuel side of the VRO?

Thanks

Richard

Re: Question on VRO conversion

it really sounds like you have contaminated carbs. please start you own thread. highjacking anothers thread is extremely rude.

Look here mister, and I say that laffing, first off, my post is directly pertinent to his post, as I have the EXACT same symptoms, so I thought asking to verify if I need to follow this thread to determine the proper procedure to do a get this and I quote" Question on a VRO conversion", to convert my VRO motor to a non-VRO motor via, again VRO conversion which I have questions, hehe, sorry if I have offended anyone but I searched for VRO questions to try to alleviate posting the same question twice, but I am thinking maybe next time I should not search for a question and should just post away, and I really am laffin, Cuz God is Good!

Thanks
