Got a quick question, Chyrsler 1976 45hp, how much water should come out of the tell-tale. Should it be a thick, steady stream or a thin/slow stream. New to this make of outboard.

It should be a steady stream at an Idle and pick up a little more when the RPMs are taken up. If it spudders at any time check to make sure the water ears are putting water to the impeller and if they are it might be time for a new impeller.
