Question - Throttle cable attachment for 1965 9.5 hp Evinrude???

Apparently, I am missing a connection link between the throttle cable (shown with only a bare-wire end) and the throttle lever on the motor. The outer sheath of the throttle cable can be fixed to the bracket on the motor, but I see no way to fix the cable to the lever.

Can anyone refer me to the piece (or pieces) I need to complete this throttle assembly? And maybe as to where I might obtain these items?

Looks like you're missing the black end and a horse shoe clip that pivots on the brass trunnion with the two slot screws. Can't help you with where to find them though. The one you need doesn't have the stainless 1/4 turn pin.

Here is the parts list. Write the part numbers down and take them to any Evinrude dealer. If they are worth their salt, they will have them, or order them for you.
