A few years ago I was in Canada and was running at full speed across the lake and the engine went to 1/2 power. The lake was flat and we were on plane. It is a 55hp Evinrude don't know the year number. After this happened and we pulled it out of the water to go back to the lodge and the next time we ran it it ran fine. I was wondering what could have happened. Thanks! Also first post.
