Hey all... I own an 1969 evinrude sportwin 9.5 and my bushing is slipping on me. I am just going to get a new prop for christmas. I was looking on this website for new ones. I just went out in my garage and took off my prop and read what it said on it. It says 8 1/8 x 8. What comes first the diameter or the pitch? Anways I cant find one with a pitch 8 1/8. I could only find 8 1/2 or just 8''. What would you recommend? Also I noticed alot of them have rubber bushings. Are these any good? Sorry for all the questions guys I just dont know much about it...Thanks in advance! Andrew

Re: Question

Most props have a rubber hub to help cushion in the event prop strikes something.
Diameter comes first and diameter follows the design and application If prop is intended for your motor don't worry about diameter. If your happy with present performance stick with an 8" pitch. Not knowing your boat or typical load and the max rpm and speed its difficult to select a prop. But for most applications the 8" prop
should work.
