alright i posted the other day about lighting issues well i got all my brake lights working my side markers everything, only thing i need to know now is, why does my left brake light light up faster then the right one and why is the left one just a tad brighter then the right? i mean its not a hugee difference but im one of those people that hate having just the smallest problems lol.

Re: Question..

I would check all the ground connections on the trailer, lights, everything. Trailers are like boats. 95% of electrical issues can be attributed to a ground issue...

Re: Question..

Check the ground and the bulb if one bulb is brighter or dimmer than the other it could be that the bulbs where put in at two diffrent times, my bet though, it is a ground issue, I had a light issues with my trailer and it just turned out to be a ground issue.

well i did just stick another bulb in the left side which is lighting up faster and brighter then the right. but i dont see it making a difference when it comes time to light up for brake lights.. i mean i could see the one being brighter but not one lighting up quicker then the other.

Re: Question..

Could be a lot of things. Bad bulb, different kind of bulb not made for 12 volts, loose/bad connection on hot or ground. If you can swap the bulbs and see if trouble stays with the bulbs or the socket. IF it's a bulb you got an easy fix. But not likely. Then you can swap the whole light assembly just for a test and see if the problem goes with that. If not then work your way back towards your tow vehicle stopping at connectors and wiring it up there and seeing if it works properly there. There is even a chance you may have a loose connection or wire going open on your vehicle. Could be absolutely anything. If you're not used to troubleshooting electronics it can be overwhelming but it's really not rocket science. Just use common sense and find a place where everything works good an work your way back to your lights. May take some time and you may find a bad place in some wiring that needs replaced. You never know. good luck.
