I have a few questions about my kicker motor bracket. I'm trying to figure out what brand it is , and also since its pretty old if its worth replacing? Its a fold down style bracket and it works well but my kicker bounces around a lot on it when I'm running in a good chop , Will all brackets have this bouncing effect since its a fold down and not a fixed mount?
When I got the boat the bracket did not have a motor mount so I made one out of 1/2 plywood x2 glued together and bolted.
I just added the kicker motor this season , and the first time out this year I blew a compression fitting on my hydraulic steering and had to limp back on the kicker. So its already paid itself off =) I just hate to see this bracket break and send my kicker to a watery grave.
