part # 61A-13910-01-00, Fuel Pump Assy. -- Is this also considered the "high speed pump"?

There are 3 wires on this pump. Black yellow and red. Red is hot ALL the time. Yellow becomes hot with the switch and black is ground. What is the purpose the red wire being hot all the time?

Does my motor, 1992 L250 TXRQ, have an O2 sensor? I do not believe so, but hey, never hurts to ask!

Hope you had a good trip and look forward to hearing from you soon.

the reason the red wire is hot all the time is its designed that way.
actually they rarely tell us design features.
that motor has 6 carbs and 3 mechanical lift pumps. the electric fuel pump is for enrichment only not a high speed pump.
no your engine does not have an o2 sensor.

Hey Rod, by chance do you have one of these lying around? lol That is one expensive pump just to be an enrichmant pump!!

If a electric fuel pump could be found at the local auto parts store that would provide the 6 psi needed on the fuel rail, why not just get that? (it is just a question, please dont kill me)

its more than likey hot all the time because there is a relay/scr or something like that in the pump. Red is your main power.... but yellow flips the switch so to speak.

I never said it was cheap.
the pump pressure I have no clue about, the fuel enrichment rail pressure is controlled by a pressure regulator not the pump.
