Im about to do the whole shabang
floor, stringers, foam, transom.
i have a book that says to redo the floor with the cap, (deck) on
the reason stated is, when you refit the cap, the new floor might warp the sides of the hull, making the refit of the cap difficult, (kinda like putting the wrong top on a tupperware container).
all of the photos ive looked at for floor replacement, have the cap off!
i have a 19 foot closed bow and replacing stringers and floor would be exceedingly difficult with the cap on.
my question is, can i just brace the sides? or do i "just go for it"
and pull the cap? do it all at once.
or like the book suggests, leave the cap on, then pull it for the transom?
the cap is ready to come off in two days.
thanks

p.s. if this ends up double posting, please forgive me and delete one of them.
had probs signing in, and one of the posts vanished.
