1987 v-4 90hp johnson. The one with a power pack on each side of the engine. I am pretty sure the engine number is j90tlcur.
Anyway, it is not important as to why but I am replacing the power packs. I thought I labeled the two primary wires coming off of the power packs and going to the coils with tape but I guess I didn't. So my question is just which wire will go where? The new power packs each have one orange wire and one orange/blue wire. Should the orange/blue wire go to the top cylinder while the orange wire go to the bottom cylinder? (cylinders 1&2 get orange/blue, cylinders 3/4 get orange)?
I am assuming someone will ask why I am replacing the power packs. I had very weak spark on one side of the engine, switched packs and the problem switched sides so now I am just doing both of them so there is no problem, I just guess I forgot to label.
