Awhile back there was a discussion about replacing dash lights.
Like many others in my 1995 van I have two dash lights out.
I’m not willing to take the time or want to pay the big bucks to
pay someone to pull the entire dash board, steering column and brake assem.
Just to replace two $00.50 bulbs.
Not going to happen.
However the wife needed to drive it at night a couple weeks ago and refused to drive it without being able to see how fast she was going at night on the highway.
So we stopped by the local “Wallyworld” type book store and bought this.

It only cost a few bucks (under ten) has a magnetic base with a clip. Uses included batteries and has a built in mirror to spread the light out from a single LED.

I put the vehicle in drive and clipped it on the shift lever to adjust it so we could see the middle and right hand side of the dash. It actually lights the whole dash panel.

It has its own on/off button and until I took it off tonight to take a pic to share with you has stayed in place for three weeks. No adjustments at all.

Maybe a “little” redneck but it works.

But Hey!

Little redneck my arse, thats pure redneck right there! I like it. My trucks dash lights are completely gone, put a new headlight switch in and didn't adjust it right. Too much trouble to fool with so I drive in the dark. I've learned to listen to the motor and know how fast I go. I'm always within 2 mph.

Redneck? nah.

Redneck would be duct taping a zippo lighter to steering column. d:)
