quick fix or major overhaul

So here it goes my first real post. I bought her in late fall to get back into fishing, now that these two are old enough to both cast. Unfortunately time passed me by this winter as I spent more time getting the essentials here and there life jackets etc. Once the weather warms first priority is to get the engine running. A 66 Johnson I believe, but that?s another post. Wondering if you guys could take a look at the photos and let me know if just a quick glassing of the floor will last me through the summer until I can get at her good next winter. Remember I am an absolute newbie to repair lingo, wasnt to long ago that I knew what a stringer was. With the exception of the paint peeling on the floor the base seems pretty sound no rot just some discoloring, she sat outdoors in a back yard for a year before I got her. The look of the transom is my key worry. It seems pretty solid but the cracking and bubbling in the back has me a little concerned. She?ll be launched and taken out the same day so I?m not worried about leaving her docked. Sorry guys I need to take more Pics even on the lowest setting the files were considered to big.

Well if the floor is useable as is I wouldn't put a coat of glass over it to hold you through the summer becasue in the winter when you go to pull the floor up, that new glass is going to be a pain to get up.
I would either begin the resto process now, or wait till winter and do it all.
Just my '2 cents'
good luck

Dyyno,
Welcome to Iboats.
As stated before, if she seems solid then do some temporary patches to get you to next winter.
I would at least check the transom to see if it sounds solid. You can just tap on hit with a plastic hammer to see if it is solid or a hollow sound. You want to be safe.
As for the photos, just get a free photobucket account and you can resize then there to the standard Iboats size 680 X 480, and then post directy from there.
Good luck.

The pictures that I did manage to get posted came from photobucket. Some were still too big. If there is a resizing feature for pixels ive yet to find it.

Thanks for the transom tip.

Dyyno,
If you resize them to 680X480 you won't get any complaints. Then copy the IMG and paste to your post it will come out larger then the thumbnails.
Hope this helps.

Hey Dyyno,
Those little ones appear to be enjoying the boat already.
Have fun with the boat.
