Yesterday we decided to buy a 2002 Glastron GX225, it's in great condition, low hours on the engine and runs perfectly.

My husband is hung up on what I would consider very minor things, but wanted to see if I can get feedback on repair costs.

Some of the gages don't work, such as RPM's and the gas gauge...very important. I could be fuses...we just haven't checked yet. What would it cost us to replace them if they aren't fuses (estimates of course)

There are a few small/minor tears in the sunpad around the seams, where there is stitching. I'm thinking they may be able to be patched instead of having to replace the whole sunpad but don't have experience with it.

Finally, there are some very small hairline cracks in the fiberglass, right below the windshield. Can those be repaired and if so, is it very expensive?

We just don't want to pay as much as we are expecting to if we are going to incur huge costs in repairs.

Otherwise, everything else is perfect!

Thanks!

Agree on winter except for the tach and fuel . . . You should get used to understanding fuel from a usage standpoint and not necessarily from the gauge. If you can get a stick straight in the tank, that's the best gauge there is but tanks like that are rare. I'd try and get that gauge going. You need the tach to run the boat right and especially to select proper propellers. Do some reading over in the Prop section to get a handle on that topic.

Take a look at the Restoration section to learn more about the cracks. My guess is that they are what we call spiders and not that big of a deal. Pictures are really good. Welcome aboard and have a great summer!!!
