quick outdrive question

i have an 87 wellcraft with a mercruiser inboard 4 cyl. i was told it had the stock outdrive on it, but i just saw something online and now im confused. the out drive says SE106 sterndrive on it. is that mercruiser? did this boat come with this outdrive? and are they the same? i just ordered oil seals for it but i baught them for an alpha 1 outdrive, will they be the same? thanx for any help

The SE106 is an aftermarket outdrive manufacture by the name of Sterndrive Engineering. They make drives that look and act like Mercruisers drives, but are not Mercruiser. They are such a good copy, that yes, the oem parts and tools will work on them.

yea i thought it was stock because it looks exactly the same as the one in the mercruiser service book. don your the man, thanks AGAIN for answering my questions.
