I just got a new motor to me, hooking up electrical connections from my controls/battery and not sure where the ground bolts on. I know the positive goes to the starter solenoid, but not sure about where the ground should bolt to the block or if it matters. Thanks

if anybody else has this motor and can explain some of the accessory connections that would be great as well

I think usually to a stud for the starter bracket, since it (the starter)is the highest amp draw.

Look closely on the port side of the powerhead. You'll see a stud that accepts a nut and washer (most likely on the large exhaust baffle plate). That's the grounding stud.

I had it connected on that exhaust plate i believe, where the tell tale is ported. there was a stud there with another small ground wire, just wasn't sure if that was good for main ground. thanks
