Bought an old boat from a father & son who rebuild boat motors. It had a '71 Johnson 60 HP on it. I ordered a bradn new OEM service manual for it. This motor proved to have problems at WOT, so they swapped it out with a '72 Evinrude 65 HP Triumph (replaced w/different controller as well).
Question is, are these two motors similar enough so that the Johnson manual would apply to pretty much everything on the Evinrude other than the controller related stuff, or should I get another manual for the 'rude?
2nd question: anyone want to buy a very slightly used OEM manual for a '71 Johnson 60 horse w/hydroelectric drive?
