quick question timing light.

My auto timing light is not bright enough to use during the daylight. Should any auto timing light work and be easily seen in full sun mechanicing? Do I need a special timing light?

You should be able to see the strobe, although it may be difficult in direct sunlight. Try to shade the motor with something.

I tried, but had absolutely no luck. I am wondering if they are inherently dim. I don't want to wait till 8:30 p to test the timing tonight!
