Quick question

I recently bought a 1966 18' Pacific Mariner. My budget is very minimal and I just want to get on the water for this season, then do more permanent repairs this fall and next spring. I have two small holes that go through the hull, both on chines. One is about 2 inches long and 3/8 inch wire, the other is about 6 inches long and 3/8 inch wide. My plan is to fill them with marine tex, then seal them with fiberglass resin. Will this work? P.S. I also plan to use this on 6 screw holes and 2 bolt holes on the transom.

Welcome to iboats!

Yup that will work ...... just be aware that you might have water infiltration in the hull, water soaked foam, rotted wood...... you are just putting off the repair and patching holes.

For some interesting reading browse through the completed project section and see what others have accomplished.
