I think it is a fine oil, I have two gallons of it I will sell you cheap! Now that I have gone synthetic in my Merc 150. :D

I don't waste my money on it anymore. All TCW-3 oils are going to be fine in your engine, they have to pass alot of strict testing to get that rating. Quicksilver oil is not better than any other. I believe pennzoil synthetic blend can be had for the same price as quicksilver oil, and that would be a MUCH better oil.

Since we're on the topic of Quicksilver, other than the difference in color, what are the differences in their premium lower unit gear lube and the high performance lower unit gear lube?

I believe one is synthetic and the other isn't. Since you need so little lower unit lube I would strongly suggest using something really good such as Amsoil or Redline.

There is no mention of synthetic anywhere on the container, but there is a warning on there saying definetly not to mix the two.so therein lies my confusion
