Quicksilver 3000 engine controller

My Quicksilver Commander 3000 engine controller broke. I bought a new one and installed it.

Everything looked OK. Two yellow wires to two yellow wires. and the KILLSWITCH back to the same two purple wires.

Engine won't start. I turned the KILLSWITCH to the off position and it started and ran fine.

Went behind the controller and switched the wires. Still runs in OFF and shuts down in the RUN postion.

Does anyone have any ideas about this other than disassembling the switch and turning it over.

Turn the switch over. Sounds like it was installed 180? out at the factory.
