I just purchased a new (well, new to me) quicksilver 3000 classic throttle for replace my old throttle.
When I push in the "throttle only" button and move the throttle forward, should the shift cable still be moving as well??
You aren't pushing the button in enough. You may have to pull the shift handle to the rear while pushing the button to get it to go in all the way. I have a 2000 and that is what I have to do.
When I say to the rear, I mean that you are locked in N but put pressure against the shift handle in the aft direction.
