I just purchased a new, used boat. It's a 14' starcraft on the plate the model says sunbird I haven't found that listed as a model on the web yet but I'll worry about that later. my main question is this the boat has a 35 hp merc aprox. 1987 that has a remote autoblend system I was wondering if anybody knows the reliability of this system? Before I bought it, the boat hadn't been run in at least 2 yrs I emptied the oil and gas and replaced with new was able to get the boat started with muffs it was quite easy to my surprise. the motor seems to run well I'm just not sure if I should boycott the autoblend and use a mix in the tank or not? If I should use the premix route what is the fuel to oil ratio 50 to 1 ? any help would be helpful. I have not yet launched the boat because I need to replace the transom, I have all the materials I just need a few more hours to be added to the days.

Re: quicksilver autoblend

Auto Blend system was junk when built, just remove it from the system and mix your fuel 50 to 1
