quicksilver control box

i have a quicksilver 2000 commander series in my boat but its missing parts so a guy gave me a suzuki box. Can i hook it to the oringinal wiring & cables & it work? The two boxes look similar inside.

I'm pretty sure that would be like trying to put a Camaro starter on a Mustang, they look the same but.

If the cable ends are the same you may be able to do it but that is unlikely, control boxes are specific to the engines the run and that is certainly not something you want to jury rig.

Maybe poke around on Ebay for the correct one.
