Hi,

In a marina near by (here in Europe) I noticed an interesting 20ft Cruiser with a small cabin. Its called a Quicksilver 640 Weekender with outboard. I though Quicksilver was an American company however I am surprised I have not seen these types of cruisers in the US.

I also noticed that Jeanneau makes a Merry Fisher which is similar.

Does anyone know of similar type boats produced in the US?

Thanks

Very interesting little pocket cruiser.

I did a quick google search and I strongly suspect these are designed almost exclusively for the European market. They are certainly designed to maximize comfort in less-than-sunny areas whereas most American cruisers tend to have a default view that the boat will be operated in sunny and warm climates. Looking at the number of hard tops and pilot house models and the relatively narrow beams combined with the small sizes, I'd say these boats are targeted mostly at European buyers.

Nice boats, thogh
