I have a mariner 90....came with a stainless prop. The number on it is 48-7250021p, 21" pitch. It is beat up pretty good. I need a replacement for it. I assume this prop is an old-school quicksilver prop. It will be going on a 16' bass boat, so I am looking for a good performing stainess 3 blade prop. Right now I am turning 5200 RPM at 53 mph with that QS prop-probably pretty close to where it should be. Can anyone give me an idea of what prop would replace the one I have?

If you're happy with what's going on now,... Replace it with a like prop,...

If you're having Handling Issues,... What are they,..??

Re: quicksilver prop?

Am I happy with how it works? Somewhat. The edges are beat up pretty good, though. And the leading edge of one of the blades was bent pretty good as well. I straightened it the best I could and ground the biggest gouges smoother, but it vibrates when under wide open throttle. I have a 4 blade Solas aluminum prop on it now as a cheap replacement (and it gets out of the hole a LOT better) but I am in the market for something that will give a little bit better bow lift. I can trim this thing all the way out and it never loses water pressure or blows out. I would like to have a bit more bow lift and maybe a hundred or so more RPM. I use the Solas prop when I'm loaded heavy and I will use the stainless prop for running across certain lakes where it will be a 5-10 minute ride. Handling is not a huge issue to me as I am not tournament fishing or in a big hurry to get anywhere. But I do like to know that if a storm is on the horizon that I can get back to the ramp with enough time to get loaded back up ;)

Ayuh,...

Sounds like you want a Round Eared prop, with Alot of Rake built into it...

Any reason it has to be stainless? FOr about 1/3 the price you should look at TurningPoint propellers. Check out the Hustler or the Legacy(new version of the Hustler).
