I'm almost done with restoring my 1986 Calais 210V boat! Just a couple of minor things that need to be finished (mainly upholstery and 1 seat). My throttle controls made by quicksilver works and functions perfectly without problems. It's just that it look really bad. Theirs a plastic cover that was chromed but all the chrome is flaking off. I've repainted the metal housing and it looks great. All the decals came off. I know what they are but the next owner may not. I don't feel like spending $200+ dollars on a new controls. Can I buy replacement decals and a new face plate? I posted a pic of it, sorry I don't have any good pics of it and it's raining in my area so I don't want to un-tarp it in the rain.

Looking at the throttle lever, it's an old model Classic. You can however still get parts for them. The plastic trigger on mine broke and I picked one up from CrowleyMarine.com. It could be worthwhile contacting them.

You could try a vinyl sticker shop. They may not be able to make something identical to the original but close.
