hi i am new to this, I bought an older boat that came with a extra throttle control (quicksilver with power trim, trailer and throttle only button) the current throttle on it is a mercontol. I am wondering how hard it is to switch out the two. I looked at the wiring harnesses for both and the one is a six (I believe and the other is eight). I know that the wiring harness will need to be spliced in but not sure if it is possible and what wire will go where since the new has more wires then the old one. Any advice will be helpful. the motor is a 79 80hp. Thanks.
