Need help.
I have what is called a generation 1 quicksilver side mounted throttle control.
Off an 1984 sea ray. Single lever with trim and throttle in handle.
Original needed replacing. Purchased a good used. All seemed to work when received and throttle button worked.
Installing I had to remove handle, and back plate so cables can bolt on.
Was not carefull and implosive, never expected and a few small parts came loose from inside, along with bar that slips into a series of multiple holes all the same opening.from back side of control. Throttle does not work now. One of small parts that fell loose was proberly part of throtlle button but not sure were it goes.
I have diagram for front and handle which came as original equipment back in 84 but need diagram for gears and how everything works on inside of throttle control.
Is there any site with diagram? I attempted to call mercruiser but no help.
My local Sea ray dealer has same manufacture diagram as I do. .
Any fellow boaters have a sources for diagram.or know were I could get my hands on one.
My neighbor is a mechanic and heavy duty tranny rebuilder. He could assist me with his eyes closed but I want to give him a diagram to make sure what goes were.
