Old Joe got a call from his buddies wanting to come over to his house and let their dogs run. Joe says come on over and we will sit on the front porch and you can let your dogs run.
His buddies show up and asked if Joe wanted his dog Blue to run. Joe tells them Old Blue is too old to run anymore. So all of them were sitting on the porch over looking a creek that ran down in front of his house. The dogs were out running the creek banks and sounding off once in awhile. A little later all of the dogs were way up the hollow just a barking as loud as ever before. Joe tells the guys that it sure sounds like Old Blue is in the pack. The buddies said no, Old Blue is still out back tied to his dog house.
Old Joe speaks up and says "But that sure sounds like old Blue, you guys sure you didn't let him run did you"? No they replied. Finally all the dogs quit barking except the one that Joe swears is the sound of Old Blue. The sound kept getting closer and closer. Now it is so close you could hear like something being dragged down through the gravel in the creek. One of the guys took out a spot light to light up the area down by the creek. Finally they could see what was going on. It was Old Blue still tied to what was the front of his dog house with the other dogs riding on it. Joe says "I told you that was Old Blue"!
