Here's some cool news... if you didn't know, about a year ago I started my own computer consulting business. Well, things have been going pretty good; I've got about 40 steady clients and I'm on the board of directors for the local chamber of commerce.

Well, I did some wrangling, and I now have my own radio commercial! Its pretty f'n sweet. Its been playing on the local talk radio station and I have gotten some postive feedback. I have a copy of it in MP3 format, but I think it is against copyright rules for me to post it someplace.

Anyways, its pretty darn tootin cool.

Sean, sounds like things are doing great! I imagine your plate is full!

It's your commercial SOooooooooo you have the copyright...... but one of the mods (funny how that rhymes with gods) would probably not want it since it is a commercial business. I think you might be able to combine it with photos (of butterflies and flowers) into a slide show and get it onto photobucket.

The way I read the rules you can direct us to a spot to hear it but you can not "directly" link to it. With that said..... if I wanted to hear a radio commercial answer these questions:

Is it available on the net?
What search words would I need to find it?
Does the radio station have a website that has commercial MP3's available?

That is cool. Its great to hear about people out there endeavoring on their own outside of the regular workplace. 40 clients is great base to work from. Any expansion plans underway?

Good to hear you are having success in being self-enjoyed. I am struggling, just barely making it, and slowly growing. But hey, we're in differnet areas.
As for the copyright, Bob VT may be right, but you most likely are. Alot of radio stations/TV stations/Print advertisers/Marketing agencies copyright the product of you hiring them to developan ad for you. Or in other words, they own the rights to YOUR ad. Knowing this, I demand that I own the ad, not them. I paid for it, I bought their creativity, and I demand that I own any product thereof. I have refused to do business with a couple advertisers because they would not grant me the rights to MY ad.

So before you PM or link it, check for who owns the copyright, if there even is any first.

Good news EE.
Been wondering how you were doing.
Does the ad run on 620 or 1130 ? Time of day/program slot?

I can get 620 most of the time, 1130 only on occasion.

Keep up the good work.

Business plan for 2008 MUST include more time for the boat.
