I can't tell you just how fishable my mariner4 is with a small 18" drift sock attached up front, me fishing with the trolling motor pulling vs pushing. When I keep bass I attach the stringer to the end of the drift sock, this hangs the drift sock down even lower- I'm telling you what even on strong wind I'm in total control, if your curious about these- buy one, you will not regret it- money well spent.
